Random Truths
So i realized that what i am going through everyday is what everyone goes through. I feel in my twenties i searched for myself and enjoyed what experiences i thought i wanted to enjoy. i made goals to become the woman that i wanted to become. once i did those goals by my thirties i got married and had a child. But what i didnt realize that my goals and the things i wanted would change. it seems so obvious too me now but then when it was happening i was confused and depressed. why is what i planned not enough etc. etc. etc.
but talking and praying and meditating and reading i have found that this in normal and even if it was abnormal to someone else it was normal to me and my life.

Strawberry Cupcakes from Mop Top Maven
Recipe Ingredients:
2/3 cup whole fresh or frozen strawberries, thawed
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1/4 cup whole milk, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
2 large egg whites, room temperature
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners; set aside.
Place strawberries in a small food processor; process until pureed. You should have about 1/3 cup of puree, add a few more strawberries if necessary or save any extra puree for frosting; set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a small bowl, mix together milk, vanilla, and strawberry puree; set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter on medium-high speed, until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar and continue to beat until well combined and fluffy. Reduce the mixer speed to medium and slowly add egg and egg whites until just blended.
With the mixer on low, slowly add half the flour mixture; mix until just blended. Add the milk mixture; mix until just blended. Slowly add remaining flour mixture, scraping down sides of the bowl with a spatula, as necessary, until just blended.
Divide batter evenly among prepared muffin cups. Transfer muffin tin to oven and bake until tops are just dry to the touch, 22 to 25 minutes. Transfer muffin tin to a wire rack and let cupcakes cool completely in tin before icing.
Icing Ingredients:
Makes enough for 1 dozen cupcakes.
1/2 cup whole frozen strawberries, thawed
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, firm and slightly cold
Pinch of coarse salt
3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
Place strawberries in the bowl of a small food processor; process until pureed. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together butter and salt on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce mixer speed and slowly add confectioners' sugar; beat until well combined. Add vanilla and 3 tablespoons strawberry puree (save any remaining strawberry puree for another use); mix until just blended. Do not overmix or frosting will incorporate too much air. Frosting consistency should be dense and creamy, like ice cream

Dear Myself
I have been writing on this blog for a short time not knowing which direction to take and what to focus on. I have been using this as sort of a diary of things i found or information i want to keep with a place to always refer back to.
But now i have a direction and a new course i would like to take, i want someone to go along and share my experiences with. Recently i believed i wanted to be enlightened and brought into conciousness and though i know some wont understand i am going to take the path of knowledge of thyself "know thyself!"
I was laying in bed and one thought came into my concious, Religion is a man made separation of one spirit to another, and isnt that a sin. Sin to seperate onself from another becuase of a belief.
I have always believed in Christianity and that can not be uprooted but I have to open my eyes to who i really am. Because i have a vagina i am less than or not equal to a man. We call father God but where is Mother God. I am made in an image of God and he created me too, God is in me I am a Goddess. I must act accordingly.
When I pushed my son from my vagina it was the most eye opening experience of my life. I am powerful I am a healer a creator I am a Goddess.
For so long I took what people said about things without researching. But that is different it is time, My time to come into My truth!
When it came to find which direction do I go to find the information so many books and ideas come my way. Father/Mother God Creator will lead me.
First step: I must fast and cleanse my system. This is sooo hard for me to do but i must discipline my flesh. I am going to PHilly on the 15th to the 18th and then i will start my fast HARD.
Im looking for some true Woman to go with me. I am also following Sacred Woman by Queen Afua it is a very good book if someone would like to travel with me to enlightenment.

A lesson in Sushi
Rainbow Roll
Nori, rice, avocado, surimi, plus a variety of raw fish arranged on top
476 calories
16 g fat
33 g protein
6 g fiber
50 g carbohydrates
Higher in calories than most rolls you’ll find, but loaded as this is with substantial portions of myriad raw fish, most of those calories are the good kind. Rainbow rolls are typically large, so a single order and a bowl of miso soup make a filling dinner.
Nori, rice, cucumber
136 calories
0 g fat
6 g protein
3.5 g fiber
30 g carbohydrates
It’s hard to go wrong with cucumbers and seaweed. Though not a nutritional powerhouse, cucumbers are a low-calorie delivery system for vitamins A and C, fiber, and silica, a compound that has been shown to foster healthy skin.
Avocado Roll
Nori, rice, avocado
140 calories
5.5 g fat
2 g protein
6 g fiber
28 g carbohydrates
Most of the calories in this vegetarian roll come from healthy monounsaturated fats. Avocado makes a great addition to any roll, since a sushi-size portion also contains about 3 grams of fiber.
Tuna Roll
Nori, rice, tuna
184 calories
2 g fat
24 g protein
3.5 g fiber
27 g carbohydrates
More than half of the calories in this simple, classic roll come from protein, making it a great light meal or a snack with substance.
California Roll
Nori, rice, avocado, surimi
255 calories
7 g fat
9 g protein
6 g fiber
38 g carbohydrates
The ubiquitous fusion roll is a great beginner’s foray into the potential of sushi, since there’s no raw fish involved. There are also no real healthy fats either (aside from the avocado, of course), since the fake crab (made from a variety of processed and compressed fish) has 1⁄15 the amount of omega-3s as the real stuff.
Spicy Tuna Roll
Nori, rice, tuna, mayo, chili sauce
290 calories
11 g fat
24 g protein
3.5 g fiber
26 g carbohydrates
In the world of sushi, “spicy” means a spoonful of mayo spiked with an Asian chili sauce. The calorie counts can climb higher than this, depending on how heavy a hand the sushi chef has with the spicy stuff. Either way, you’re better off satisfying your need for heat with a touch of wasabi.
Philadelphia Roll
Nori, rice, salmon, cream cheese, cucumber
290 calories
12 g fat (5 g saturated)
14 g protein
2 g fiber
28 g carbohydrates
Just like the mayo adds empty calories to an otherwise reliable spicy tuna roll, cream cheese blankets perfectly fine salmon and cucumber with an unnecessary measure of fat.
Salmon and Avocado Roll
Nori, rice, salmon, avocado
304 calories
8.5 g fat
13 g protein
6 g fiber
42 g carbohydrates
High in calories, but nearly all of those calories come from the one-two punch of healthy fats found in the salmon and the avocado.
Eel and Avocado Roll
Nori, rice, avocado, eel
372 calories
17 g fat
20 g protein
6 g fiber
31 g carbohydrates
Eel brings a solid helping of omega-3s to the sushi bar, but unfortunately, it’s almost always covered in a gloppy, sugary brown sauce that masks both the nutrition and the delicate natural flavor of this wily sea creature. If you opt for this roll, make it your only one of the night.
Shrimp Tempura Roll
Nori, rice, shrimp, tempura batter, oil for frying
508 calories
21 g fat
20 g protein
4.5 g fiber
64 g carbohydrates
Why take a perfectly good piece of lean shrimp and ruin it with thick batter and a hot oil bath? The joy of fried food—the crunch—is snuffed out by the moist rice, so this one doesn’t make sense from either a flavor or a nutritional perspective.

6 Foods for Healthy Skin
1. SALMON
Salmon is an ideal food for many reasons, but as far as your skin’s concerned, there’s only one that matters: It’s among the world’s greatest sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Those are the essential fats that, along with bolstering the cognitive powers of your brain, concentrate in the walls of your epidermal cells to help lock in moisture. Plus, in one study, researchers supplemented two groups of mice with either omega-3 or omega-6 fats. After two weeks, the skin of the omega-3-fed group exhibited a 20 percent faster recovery rate from exposure to ultraviolet light. That gives salmon two crucial skin boons: keeping your skin from looking dry and helping it battle the dangers of excessive sunlight.
Other omega-3 foods: sardines, walnuts, flaxseed
2. CARROTS
Carrots are teeming with tiny orange pigments called beta-carotene, and when you ingest those pigments, you’re inviting them to nestle into your skin, fill in blotches, and give you a healthy glow. And what’s more, research shows that this can actually help prevent premature aging from sun damage. But is the accumulation of orange in your skin going to make you look like an extra from Jersey Shore? Well, hopefully not. But eating excessive loads of carotene-rich foods can lead to a condition called carotenosis, wherein your skin stops looking healthy and starts looking, well, orange. But the conditions is rare, so unless you notice yourself turning into a prison jumpsuit, feel free to chow down.
Other beta-carotene foods: sweet potatoes, red bell peppers, red grapefruit
3. AVOCADO
One study published by The Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that people with higher intakes of olive oil had fewer wrinkles than people with higher intakes of butter. The reason: Butter is loaded with saturated fat, while olive oil is rich in monounsaturates, the same essential fats that make up more than 50% of the calories in an avocado. So why eat avocado over olive oil? Both are good, but avocados have the added bonus of B vitamins, which also help to keep your skin looking vibrant and smooth.
Other monounsaturated-fat foods: olive oil, almonds, peanut butter
4. BEANS
Legumes, to be more precise. This is the class of plants that includes black beans, chickpeas, lentils, soybeans, and peanuts. And how do these puny pods protect your face? By smoothing out wrinkles. Australian researchers analyzed the diets of more than 400 elderly men and women and found that high intakes of legumes—alongside vegetables and healthy fats—resulted in 20% fewer wrinkles over time. The effect is likely a result of isoflavones—potent antioxidants—concentrated in the beans.
Other isoflavone-rich foods: alfalfa, tempeh, tofu
5. GRAPES
Besides providing protection from heart attack and stroke, antioxidants called polyphenols found in grapes can also help keep middle-aged skin from sagging. That’s because polyphenols improve skin’s elasticity by strengthening collagen, the primary protein in skin’s innermost layer.
Other polyphenol-rich foods: grape juice, blueberries
6. WATER
Okay, it’s not as fun to drink as wine, but water is the strongest weapon you have against lifeless skin. That’s why they call it “moisturizing”—because you’re trying to lock moisture, aka water, into your skin. To put it broadly, all the body’s processes rely on hydration, so if you’re not sipping throughout the day, you’re likely to have a slower metabolism, groggier head, and, yes, drier skin. One study suggested that it takes a mere half-liter of water to create a measurable increase in the capillary blood flow to your body’s outer layer. That’s just over 16 ounces. Try doing that a few times a day and you’ll have a face like a baby’s bottom in no time.
Other water-rich foods: watermelon, peaches, celery
